Steps and Hardy

We finished 3 steps today on our trail .... we have several more to do but here's some photos showing our progress ....

After cleaning up from working on the trail we headed into Hardy to go to the pottery shop .... it's our favorite store in town and I think we've become collectors of their pottery. Some of the pottery is made by the owners but they also bring in the work of many other artisans so they not only have a great variety of styles of pottery but also other handmade goodies. Here's a photo of the shop and also one looking down main street Hardy .....

Before heading home we stopped at the park in town. Next time I go I'll shoot more pictures because it's such a beautiful park. It's pretty big with a paved walking path, picnic tables, park benches next to the river, doggy poo bag stations, and a really nice playground for the kids. While we were standing next to the river a young couple canoed by with their young son and dog .... we chatted back and forth a bit while they floated by .... it was so serene .....

One last photo for today. Here's Lea at Hardy Beach on the phone with her sister .... look at the size of that tree ....

  1. Path looks great. Sounds like you girls had a good time. Hardy looks very small and quaint. The weather is staying perfect here in Idaho. Of course my great granddaughter is absolutely nothing less than perfect. She is 16 months old now and has her own computer (one of Mandy's old ones) and is learning Spanish. It is a neat program. Whatever letter or number she hits, the computer puts up a picture (like an elephant) and tells her the Spanish word for whatever it is. She is, of course, not only beautiful but incredibly smart.

  2. Your steps are coming right along. I liked that tree especially the sprouts coming out of it--wow!!
I went to Hardy many, many years ago when we would go up from Memphis up to the Ozark Folk Center.
I saw a cardiac specialist yesterday in Scottsdale whom the VA sent me to. I'm waiting to hear back from him as to whether or not he is going to do an ablation. I hope so or else find some other drug to control my a-fib. The think the VA prefers the ablation so I'll just wait and hear.

  3. Yep .... steps are coming right along and it's really been fun to work on. I'd just love to see that baby on the computer .... wow!
Hey Pat .... I got the chiggers .... yep ... I was doing some brush clearing a few days ago and came up with the little buggers. It seems to get itchier every day ... lot's of blisters all over my right leg. Oh well .... I just spray Bactine on it and I'm good for about 4 hours .... then more Bactine to ease the itching.
