No More Cardboard!

We really did have that 26' UHaul full to the brim and until yesterday there were still a whole lot of boxes in the carport. We opted to eliminate cardboard from out lives so we went to Walmart and bought 20 .... yes 20 18 Gal bins with lids and set out to clear the carport. We have 2 unfinished basement rooms that have shelves in them so it only made sense to use that space. Here's some photos showing what we did yesterday ..... almost all day!





Even Ozzie was so tired from it all that he fell asleep in his food dish



So then we hauled the van full of cardboard to the recycle center at the dump .... we did stop to check out the prices to dump at the dump since we have a whole lot of ugly stuff accumulating on our downstairs porch that needs to be hauled away .... since we can't hold onto it until we get our truck and it would take 6 van loads ..... I think we'll call a "professional" :)



So today .... we ordered our flooring for the "living room" .... as much as I love the puffy orange carpet .....

So we are going with a handscrapped hickory barnwood type .... you'll see when it's done but that might be a few weeks.

This afternoon we played .....





You may not be able to tell .... but that's Lea in her bathing suit playing in the sprinkler with Millie. Now a nice thunderstorm has come in and it's raining ..... I love the rain and the Fireflies at night. Someday .... we'll even have furniture but for now there's alway the $500 Bean Bag that the dogs took over in the SMR screen porch room. We're trying to keep it just for us now that we've gotten it cleaned but Millie still finds a way to hang on to it :)
